My long-lost friend from high school, Darletta Michael. Who would have guessed, back in our high school days, that all these years later Darletta would be my yogi master instructor? But I wouldn’t have it any other way! Darletta is amazing at what she does as she approaches yoga from the perspective of mind, body, and spirit -- and brings a healthy dose of her own passion for it!
In our conversation today, we’ll talk about various ways in which practicing yoga can help anyone feel 22 at any age. And in case you’re worried that you actually need to be a fit 22-year-old to do yoga, let Darletta reassure you to the contrary. As she sees it, there’s no room for competition in yoga; she explains that the energy should be full of camaraderie and support instead.
Darletta also spends some time offering the perhaps-surprising information that what you were trained to think is “good” posture may actually be harming you. Do you tend to suck your stomach in and hold your shoulders tightly? If so, be sure to tune in to learn why that’s a problem.
In addition to offering all these insights into yoga, along with many more, Darletta provides listeners with some great resources on where to learn more. And, best of all, she has just agreed to come to the upcoming Ageless Energy conference! I’d love to see you there so you can have the opportunity to learn from this amazing woman in person.
